Lying in my plastic bed thinking how life has been so cruel to me
Tears on my pillow that will never dry screaming of memories not so long ago
Tossing and turning, sleep will not come to this aching soul tonight
My heart shattered, no longer there
Once a sheltered capsule in the caring harbour of love, but no more
That vessel has sailed off into oblivion never to be seen again
My shattered soul, running away
Running back into her haven, the safe place she built long ago
She abandoned this place for a while; there was a time she thought it to be safe
No longer
More walls, thicker walls
Built higher and higher
No longer can she see the sky or the loving sunshine
Only darkness
A child of the night forevermore
The brilliant light just a glimmer, like the evening star lovers wish upon
She knows there is no star
There is no love in this cruel world
No, she is gone now; Hiding, alone, afraid, lonely
This is her fate forevermore
No more chances, no more games
She'll only bet on the things that matter now, no longer this cruel love
Love-someone once said that love is like oxygen
Whoever said that was a fool
There is no justice in this world
Only darkness
I am the child of the night, forever bathed in darkness
Forever rotting in regret and sin
This body is an empty shell of a person-a being that once loved without qualm
Now this ship is out in trecherous seas of lies and filth
Now only darkness and death
